Listen to Europe

*This event is hosted at the European Movement International (EMI) pavilion.

Organised by European Movement International, Matthew MacWilliams and YouGov

Ahead of the European Parliament elections, the European Movement International together with a group of researchers led by Matthew MacWilliams, YouGov and with the support of the Open Society Initiative for Europe, has conducted a poll on the drivers of behaviours and attitudes of citizens in 13 European Union member states (representing 75% of the membership of the European Parliament) towards democracy and authoritarianism.

Now that the results of the poll are analysed and ready, we will organise a Democracy Table in Den Burg, on Texel (NL) on 11 April, from 16.00 to 17.30 with the intention to disseminate the findings of our research. The presentation will be made by Matthew MacWilliams.

The purpose of the roundtable meeting will be to

  1. Share the polling results, country report and segmentation
  2. Present message frames that can be derived from the polling
  3. Discuss audience building, communications and campaigns

The "Democracy Table" is aimed at NGOs and other organisations who want to equip their campaigns, shape their communications and test their narratives.
