In Brazil's presidential elections this past year, WhatsApp fake news forwards were the largest source of information voters received on the election. From Pizzagate to the Indian elections, fake news and other malicious practices across social networks are defining the winners and losers of elections. With Steve Bannon setting up campaigning training camps for the alt-right in the North of Italy, how do parties and candidates prepare themselves for an onslaught of malicious practices? This discussion will be a roundtable skills-sharing where all those with experience (or just ideas) in fighting fake news attacks are invited to participate.
